Terms of Service
Last updated 6 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of Obituary.sg (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Obituary.sg lets registered users post obituary notices and lets anyone view a published notice and leave a message on its tribute wall.
2. Accounts
To post an obituary you must create an account. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login details secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old.
3. Content you post
You are responsible for the obituary content you submit. You confirm that you have the right to post it and that it is accurate and lawful. By posting, you grant Obituary.sg a licence to store and display that content as part of the Service. You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or offensive.
4. Payments
Publishing an obituary requires a one-time fee, shown at checkout in Singapore dollars. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Fees are non-refundable once a notice is published, except where required by law.
5. Tribute wall
Anyone may leave a message on a published notice's tribute wall. The person who posted the obituary may remove any message on that notice. Obituary.sg may also remove content that breaches these Terms.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorisation, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
7. Availability and warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. Obituary.sg does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and may change or suspend features at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Obituary.sg is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the Service.
9. Changes
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
