Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Obituary.sg collects, uses, and protects personal data. It is intended to align with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (PDPA).

Data collected

Account data, such as your name and email address, is collected when you create an account through the authentication provider. Payment data is handled by the payment provider; Obituary.sg does not store full card details. Content data includes the obituaries you post and the messages left on tribute walls. Usage data, such as pages viewed, may be collected to keep the Service secure and reliable.

How data is used

Personal data is used to operate the Service: to authenticate users, publish and display obituaries, process payments, show tribute messages, and maintain the security and performance of the Service.

Third parties

Obituary.sg uses trusted third parties to provide authentication and payment processing. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to deliver their part of the Service. Published obituaries and tribute messages are, by their nature, publicly visible.

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are used to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

Retention

Personal data is kept for as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. You may ask to have your account and associated data deleted.

Your rights

Under the PDPA, you may request access to and correction of your personal data. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
